Ruby Star is a Private Investigator and is short of clients. When a man comes in offering a sizeable reward to find a grave, Ruby becomes intrigued.

The man turns out to be dishonourable. With the help of Zoe, her work experience computer expert, Ruby hunts for a grave with the rumour it holds hidden treasure.

The Duke, Darius Huntingdon, a past client of Ruby’s, asks her to find his missing bees. With the help of the local beekeeper, Nic, Ruby is confronted by the local villain, Moody.

A potential client enters Ruby’s office and then disappears. He offers her a large sum as a reward if she can find him. When she does, he has a case for her that is top secret. Someone has kidnapped a staff member and is demanding a high ransom. All is not what it seems, as Ruby tries to rescue the desperate woman and solve the crime.

The next case includes the murder of a man while jogging. Ruby gets involved, and this causes conflict between the police and Ruby.
